STUDY IN THE UK

The UK is made up of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Island. They have over 106 top-notch universities with over 33 polytechnics and other vocational and post-secondary Institutions of learning. Undergraduate degrees or bachelors usually last for three (3) years with similar degree courses lasting four (4) years in Scotland. What does it entail in terms of the cost of studying in the UK?

Tuition Fees:

Generally, Prestigious Universities usually have high tuition fees, but on average, based on available data from the 2019/2020 academic year, annual tuition fees for international undergraduate students ranges from GBP9250 to GBP39475 per year, this can go up to GBP61,435 for medical-related degrees, social science and humanities tend to cost the least, the postgraduate fees for international students range from GBP12,000 to GBP25,000

Accommodation and Living Expenses:

Different types of accommodation are available to suit one's needs and ability to pay. The hall of residence is usually University-owned and managed. Private accommodation can also be arranged, it can cost anything from GBP 90-GBP190 per week.

The UK student visa requires a student to hold about GBP 9300 in his account as living expenses for those outside of London and a little over GBP 12000 per year for those in London to take care of their livening expenses.

Upon completion of your study, students are eligible for a post-graduation work permit, one can stay and work in Canada for up to three years, of course depending on your program and the duration of the study.
